Nameplate ‘Eastleigh’ as carried on class 33, 33008
An ideal gift for that someone who loves the class 33s and doesn’t want to fork out £1000’s for a genuine plate!
The nameplate measures approx 700mm x 175mm and comes in kit un-finished format allowing you to prepare, glue, prime and paint it. The nameplate is made using an MDF baseplate, MDF outer frame and letters.
Unfortuantely, at present, we are unable to provide a ‘fully finished’ custom nameplate for this one.
To complete the nameplate, you will need to glue the letters and outer border to the base, using the top template as a guide. once dry, give it some light coats of primer to build up the layers. Allow the primer to dry for a minimun of 24hrs. Lightly sand and REPEAT this process until happy with the result. You can then spray/brush paint it. I don’t mask the letters as you want the plate colour to go up the edges of the letters. Allow to dry fully.
I then simply brush (carefully) on each letter with Hammerite smooth silver paint to finish. Nameplates were normally either in red or black background with silver lettering and border. Plastikote spray paints are ideal or you can choose a range of colours from Graff City, click here to visit their website.
Once done, the outer border and lettering can be hand painted using Hammerite Smooth Silver.
Postage will ONLY be via DHL due to its length and will only be posted to a UK address.
