Platform Kit with Tactile Paving and Wooden Fencing (As Seen On Dan Evason’s Sugar Loaf Station)

O Gauge – Platform Kit with Tactile Paving, edge stones, rear drainage with wooden fencing and two gates – kit approx 560mm in length

We were approached by Dan Evason of Tunnel Lane Model Railways to see if we could help him with some platform tactile paving strips for a secret layout build, which has now been released to the public and is Sugar Loaf station in O gauge.

We came up with a package that included the platform base, then the top overlays which consisted of the front paving edge, followed by some tactile paving and then finishing off with some more platform top but with some drainage to the rear.

The station measured approx 560mm and we made these into two sections and sent off the products for Dan to test out and make sure that all was good. Thumbs up from Dan for this and then we also helped out with the wooden fencing at the station (we have also included a separate wooden fencing pack in this kit). We also helped with the steps that go from the station up to the back of the scenery (these were taken from our forthcoming stairway kit for our Iron Footbridge).

Now that it has been released to the public and Dan’s Sugar Loaf will be having its first outing at GETS this year on the weekend Sat/Sun 11th/12th October, we are able to offer this platform kit as a product to purchase.

Due to the nature of how we laser etch the bumps for the tactile paving, these need to be varnished and cured before we can send these out, so delivery will likely be a while after ordering plus what other kit orders are currently waiting to be cut.

Additional Parts Required (Not Included With Kit): Comes as a kit. Parts of this kit may require sanding, priming, painting and/or gluing. A sharp craft knife or similar will be required to remove pieces from part of the kits.
Other items required to assist: Deluxe Materials Glue, Super Glue (Optional) Sandpaper/Sanding Block, Masking Tape, Metal Ruler

Advise: When priming/painting, do so in a well-ventilated area and use an appropriate mask. Some items are very fragile so handling with care is paramount.

PLEASE NOTE: DO NOT GET THE MODELBORD WET WITH WATER OR OVER SPRAY AS THE MATERIAL WILL SWELL. Light coats of acrylic paint is recommended.
