Railway Laser Lines – Laser Cut OO Gauge ‘Finsbury Park’ Boiler House/Stores Room

Our latest laser cut kit is ‘heavily’ based on the Boiler House/Stores Room that was at Finsbury Park.

Finsbury Park depot, based just north of London played home to many a loco back in the 1960’s up until its closure in 1983. The Deltics were a prominant feature here, along with some Eastern region class 08’s, class 31’s and class 47’s with visits from other classes too.
The depot boasted a huge 6 road maintenance shed and to the side of this you could find the rather large Boiler House/Stores Room. With its unique design, it made for a great laser cut kit and we will be offering this kit in 2 variations; a standard and premium. The premium kit has the addition of a fully bricked interior for those that would like to go to town and make a boiler to go inside and also to fill it with additional items that would be stored away for use when required.

The kit has a plethura of parts to complete and as always, we recommend that you watch our ‘How To’ video to see how we did it and to give you some ideas regarding its priming and painting too.

Features of this kit:-
– Laser cut engraved exterior brickwork
– Laser cut engraved full interior brickwork (premium kit only……there’s 1000’s more bricks!)
– Base with skeleton frame for rigidty
– Laser Cut ModelBord window framework
– Glazing (option to leave backing on both sides and have an opaque finish or remove backing to reveal clear glazing ideal for premium kit purchasers)
– Aluminium strip with self adhesive backing to fold over roof edges and window framework to give a much neater finish, hiding any joins.

There are no written instructions with this kit. However, we go that extra mile and have created a ‘How To’ build video on this item which shows us making the premium internal fully bricked kit. Its 48 minutes so so very comprehensive. Click on the video tab to view.

Additional Parts Required (Not Included With Kit): Comes as a kit but some parts of the kit will require priming, painting and/or glueing. A sharp craft knife/zippy blade or similar will be required to remove pieces from part of the kit.
Other items required to assist: Deluxe Materials Super Phatic/Glue n Glaze (or equivalent) Sandpaper, Primer Paint, Acrylic/Enamel Paint, Masking Tape, Paint Brushes

Advise: When priming/painting, do so in a well-ventilated area and use an appropriate mask. Some items are very fragile so handling with care is paramount.
