Hate ballasting? Then this little product may just be what you’re looking for.
We’re pleased to be able to offer this Ballast Spreader tool for the OO and HO gauge modeller to help with the assistance of ballasting your track.
The product comes in kit format and will require assembly and we have created a ‘How To Build’ video that can be viewed on this page by simply clicking on the ‘video’ tab next to this description.
Simply add your ballast to the spreader and move in a backward only motion allowing the ballast to spread out over the track and creating a shoulder too. The twin brushes helps remove ballast from the sleepers. Any ballast left over on the sleepers can be carefully removed with a small soft brush.
Colour of ballast spreader tool may vary due to stock acrylic.

Arrived with a small piece broken off but some superglue fixed it so I think it’s a one off. I would have liked some instructions as I had to go onto YouTube to find out how the brushes fitted. Just got to try it out now.
