Severe Delays On Royal Mail Postage

Royal-Mail-Strikes
Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the past month, you’ll know that the Royal Mail have had and are still having strikes which has severly affected delivery of parcels. Unfortunately, we have no control whatsoever over this so at this time of year, patience is going to be needed. Larger kits and baseboards will go via DHL and these are currently being delivered on a 2-day turnaround rather than next day, but we fully expect this to drop back a further day in the running up to Christmas as their intake from Royal Mail’s lack of collections/deliveries increases their capacity. We ask, that if you are not in a hurry, to wait until after Christmas to order any kits and we’re hoping that the huge backlog of letters/parcels may have dwindled somewhat for them to return to a little bit more normality. Small items like sleeper spacer tools are sent in a jiffy bag by RM 1st class and these will be taking a long time as we’ve been told that priority delivery are Special Delivery and RM Tracked 24, so if you’ve ordered these then please don’t email us asking where your item is as you know as much as we do, hence why we suggest delaying orders. Other smaller items with postage charges over £4 are sent RM 1st class signed for, but these are not tracked and are simply updated on the RM web site only when delivered. Thank you for your understanding during this hectic period. Steve
